Whatever Whatever Reecie wants, Reecie gets…

Q) What was the last movie you went to see in a theatre?
The Incredibles. Before that, Fahrenheit 911. Not for lack of intent, just lack of time and will.

Q) What is the last movie you watched at home?
Play Misty for Me. I didn’t finish it, so I don’t know if it counts. I wanted to see it for two reasons: Jessica Walter, and because a good friend of mine is from Carmel. What a pretty town.

Q) How many movies do you own?
About four feet worth. All DVD; there’s a sad box in the basement of VHS that couldn’t be gotten rid of until it’s converted to other media.

Q) What was the last movie you bought?
Buckaroo Banzai.

Q) Got Netflix (or a similar service)?
No, not enough time right now, plus we have TiVo, so there’s usually something on worth watching.

Q) List five movies you adore or that mean a lot to you.
Buckaroo Banzai, Pillow Talk, Auntie Mame, Bring it On, and This is Spinal Tap. I first met my husband at an all-Spinal Tap halloween party – he was John “Stumpy” Pepys and I was Bobbi Fleckman.

Two other little films that are well worth your time are CQ and Happy Accidents.

Q) Name your guilty pleasure film?
Anything with that bag-of-bones Zellweger girl. Give her a sandwich! But, damn, she’s got chops. Also, I love Burt Reynolds. And musicals.

Q) What’s your favorite quote from a film?
Anything from: Female Trouble, any Christopher Guest movie, and Bring it On. And although it’s a TV show and not a movie, I am OBSESSED with Arrested Development — just about every one of GOB’s lines are permanently quotable.

Buckaroo Banzai!!! No matter where you go, there you are. My personalized license plate is BBANZAI… and yet, I omitted it on my own list. How can that be?

Thank you, DG! I would have included This Is Spinal Tap and Waiting For Guffman in mine if I’d been allowed seven instead of five …

And I have to tell you I use the line, “you’re just BASTARD people and I hate your ass FACE!” waaay more often than is likely healthy. Hee.
