Sock in Regia, color 1960, just before unravelling.
I learned three things from this exercise:
- how to turn a sock heel
- tiny dpns hurt my hands
- wool socks are scratchy
Make that four: I am not a sock knitter. Waaay too much boredom for the joint pain involved. I had shoved this in the back of my closet but one of the women in my knitting circle discovered she likes making socks, so I released this pretty yarn back to the stream and gave it to her last night.

OMG I felt the same way! I hate knitting socks because they always make my hands start aching from Joint pain. The only thing they always look so cute once their done.
I started taking Micosamine from Stolle Wellness. It’s just a daily supplement, but it’s really started to help me.I can actually finish knitting a sock in less then a week without having any pains. But I’ve only been on it for two weeks, so it could be wishful thinking.
Anyway, try it out if you want try to curb that joint pain.

Thanks! Yeah, I just started glucosamine and I’ll see how that does.
I’ve gone back to socks–it’s nice to have a small , portable project. Cotton / spandex is my new friend, I love the Elann stuff :)
