It’s not a good sign when a $1125 dress starts seeming reasonable.
Also: Marshall Field’s used to have wedding dresses, but evidently the don’t now, as evidenced by this exchange with the cleck in their fancy dresses department:
Mom: “Excuse me, would you tell me where your bridal salon is?”
Girl: “Oh. We don’t have a bridal salon. We have a beauty salon.”
